Water color, embroidery on paper, and ink. This was made for the Celtic Celebration contest/ display at Rogue Gallery and Art Center in Medford in 2021 and won second place. I used watercolor paper and had to punch holes with an awl for every stitch I made.

Currently it's on display through the end of March 2022 at Art Presence Art Center Gallery, Jacksonville, OR

From Photography to Water Color

 Mushrooms in the Sand

Walking along the beach at Cape Kiwanda, Oregon State Park on a very rainy morning I found these tiny mushrooms growing in the sand. I sprawled on my belly to capture this photo. Turns out my husband and I have gotten a lot of milage from this photo. 

My sketch book first captured a water color and ink redition. Yes, since Covid started confining us I have added water color to my mixed media creations.

The photo and water color from my sketch book inspired 
Walt to paint a large acrylic painting which he finished in the fall of 2021.

This is currently on display at Rogue Gallery and Art Center Membership Gallery, Medford, OR until late April 2022.
